Wine Region: Medoc, France
Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
Expressive, heady, open nose. Notes of very ripe, very red fruit. Excellent body, after a fine complex attack. Very rounded, long finish, with a touch of spice.
About the Winery
The vines are on a soil of fine gravel mixed with Aeolian sands on a limestone substratum. They are close to that of the prestigious Premier Cru Lafite-Rothschild and are maintained by the same teams, with Christophe Congé, oenologist and winemaker, and Régis Porfilet, vineyard manager. Among their choices, we note low yields, manual work throughout the year, parcel vinification and half of new oak barrels. Critics have welcomed the revival of Duhart-Milon for a good decade.
