Wine Region: Tuscany, Italy
Pale straw colour. The nose reveals a fascinating concentration of white-pulped fruit scents, citrus notes and aromatic herbs. The palate shows great ripe fruit taste along with an excellent balance between freshness and minerality.
Wine of great character and elegance.
Wine Enthusiast 89 pts - Torricella is an 80-20 blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc that sees some oak aging for extra intensity and smoothness. Peach, citrus and exotic fruit drive the soft, creamy finish.
About the Winery
The oldest winery in Italy, Ricasoli is the most representative wine producer in the Chianti Classico area. With its gentle hills, velvety valleys and thick woodlands of oaks and chestnuts, the 1,200 hectares of property include 235 hectares of vineyards and 26 of olive groves. The new wines are the expression of research carried out with the same scientific rigor of his illustrious ancestor but with a contemporary spirit, like a runner receiving the baton and carrying it forward with renewed energy.
