About the Winery

The renown of the Château de Fieuzal is well established and the estate has for several decades already been one of the jewels of the Pessac-Léognan appellation. It has also been built grand cru when Graves wine grading. This vintage vintage has its origins in the sixteenth century; he then belonged to the Gardères family, before entering the pocket of the Fieuzal family in the following century. The Fieuzal retained the estate until 1851, when the last descendant of the name died. Today, the 75-hectare vineyard belongs to an Irish couple (since 2001), Brenda and Lochlann Quinn, both passionate about French wines. Stephen Carrier (formerly at Lynch-Bages) has been in charge of the operation since 2007. Under the impetus of the new owners, the talented winemaker and thanks to the investments made in the cellars, this estate has regained all its excellence, both for whites and for red.
