Wine Region: Adelaide Hills, Australia

Grape: Pinot Noir

Tasting Notes

Organically grown, a light bodied Pinot Noir, this will please those with a taste for elegance as well as a defined character. Bright cherry and plum aromas along with mushroomy undertones, a bright hue and pleasant, moderate acidity. All the earthiness and finesse you should expect from a pinot noir. Pairs well with duck and lamb dishes!

About the Winery

Phillip Broderick has been growing grapes at Basket Range, in the Adelaide Hills, since 1980. A small vineyard was planted focusing on mainly Bordeaux varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot.  In 2000 as a family we moved up the hill next door and planted a larger vineyard of ten acres, comprising Bordeaux varieties and Pinot Noir, later including Saperavi and Chardonnay.

Our sons, Louis and Sholto are making wine, increasing the range and have taken on much of the viticulture, introducing or building upon new and existing methods of farming, organically.
