Wine Region: Burgundy, France

Grape: Pinot Noir

Tasting Notes

A wine with a beautiful deep and intense dark colour. The nose is rich with aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry and spices. On the palate, the wine is powerful with smooth spices, cinnamon and nutmeg. It is well structured with tannins, leaving a smooth, lovely long aftertaste. The Nuits-Saint-Georges 2014 will perfectly match with beef ribs, steak, as well as goat cheese.

About the Winery

"The climates 'Au Bas de Combe' and 'Aux Barrières' make up our Nuits-Saint-Georges village. 'Au Bas de Combe' would be for some, halfway between a village and premier cru in quality, and between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanée for style. Climate & Soil: Located at the northern end of Nuits-Saint-Georges, before the other climates of the Vosne-Romanée appellation, the clay-limestone soil is predominantly clayey."
