Grapes: Riesling

Tasting Notes

From a single block on the family owned vineyard based in the cool Great Southern, Ferngrove Winery's flagship Ferngrove Cossack Riesling exudes fresh cut lime, pink grapefruit and zesty lemon with a long lasting minerality. Native to Australia's South West, the Cossack Spider-orchid is the common name for the endangered flora adorning the label. Aromatic pink grapefruit with lifted floral notes, lemon and lime zest and scented blossom on the nose. Pure and dry palate, fresh lime, pink grapefruit and lemon zest with a long refreshing minerality.

About the winery:

Ferngrove Wines, in Frankland River, is one of the world’s most isolated wine estates. While this isolation makes the logistics of winemaking tough, it is also what makes Ferngrove wines distinctly different. Proudly Australian-run with the benefits of international ownership, Ferngrove has a deep respect for the land, and is committed to crafting exceptional wines of Western Australia.
