Wine Region: Champagne, France

Tasting Notes

Powerful and elegant, bright colour and persistant bubbles. The entry is clear-cut and stylish, with the palate then showing flavours of fruit, flowers, spices and mild tobacco. It is well built and beautifully balanced. Aperitif, scallops, crab, foie gras.

James Suckling 93 Pts - Offering more delicate, elegant and understated aromas, this 2007 melds red-berry fruits seamlessly with nectarines, peaches and roses. The palate's fine, elegant and beautifully balanced. There's really superb length and purity. Drink now.

Wine Spectator 91 Pts - A sleek, minerally version, creamy in texture, with hints of chalk and smoke underscoring the subtle lemon meringue pie, crushed black currant and graphite notes. Drink now through 2022.

About the Winery

The house Deutz offers a range of champagnes with very fine bubbles, and dominated by a very beautiful vinosity that we owe to the dominance of Pinot in the assemblages. The Brut Classic is characteristic of the Deutz style, with a fresh attack, then a mouth dominated by the fruit, and always this little vinous touch.
