Matured in bourbon barrels, it has all the essential olfactory and gustatory characteristics of its big brother (Bourbon Cask from the Solist range) with smooth and balanced notes. Fresh and precise on the nose, it has notes of oak and vanilla.
Profile: pineapple and candied citrus fruit. Liquorice and mild spices (cinnamon and nutmeg). Banana and vanilla pods. Stronger spices (cloves, black pepper) and flavouring (green tomato, courgette flowers).
Style: Round and complex. Nose: Fresh and clear.
About the Distillery
Established in 2005, Kavalan is Taiwanâ€™s first whiskymaker and the nationâ€™sÂ only family-owned whisky distillery. Kavalan takes the old name of YilanÂ county where the distillery is located in northeastern Taiwan.Â The pure water and fresh air make this part of the subtropical islandÂ the ideal environment for the production of whisky.
