Pierre André founded his wine trading company in Paris in 1923. In 1927, Pierre André entered the universe of Burgundy wines by acquiring the Chateau of Aloxe-Corton. He revolutionized Burgundy with his new ideas, dynamism and business acumen. In 1938, Pierre André opened his restaurant in Paris in order to promote his wines. This is also coupled with the development of a network of restaurant agents. As his business grew, in the 1960’s, Pierre André significantly expanded its international sales. Today, 2019 Pierre André is a prestigious signature of Burgundy wines, famous all over the world.
The Vineyard Manager of Pierre André, estate, Jacques Briday, is head of viticulture. He practices integrated viticulture is similar to sustainable viticulture, that works in a holistic manner. This includes environment protection, preservation of soil fertility, with role of egro-ecosystem as well as a sustainable production of healthy grapes, high quality and with minimum use of pesticide residues. Under Jacques supervision the vine grower’s work daily, carefully tailoring practices to its terrior. Season after season, they provide their most attentive care to the vineyards.
