Château Latour 1989

At tasting, the Château Latour 1989 reveals a dark red colour, intense and evolved. The bouquet offers aromas of great complexity, combining fruits, cedar and a subtle animal touch. The attack on the palate is aromatic, then the wine becomes ample, fat and fruity. The presence of tannins is noticeable but they are not aggressive in the least, offering instead a great finesse.

Winery Profile:
When mentioning the name of Château Latour, the image that immediately comes to mind is that of a fortified tower built on the banks of the estuary overlooking the waters, vineyards and palus. This tower that no longer exists was built in the seventeenth century on the site of a fortress, from which the English repelled the attacks of pirates. Château Latour has built its reputation, especially for its beautiful dress, the complexity, the purity of the fruit, the power and the longevity of Pauillac wines. This field has always been a model of excellence, the good years as mediocre and bad. This is why some consider it the best vintage of Medoc.
