La Forge Estate Syrah 2019

Intense purple with clear edges, followed by notes of violet and sweet liquorice, interwoven with ripe black fruit, spice and a hint of blueberry on the nose. The palate is full with layers of blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, velvety soft with floral notes, locked in with notes of leather, finishing with warm spice and lasting liquorice. An excellent full bodied red that definitely needs to breathe, 1-2 hours and will get even better with age.

Owned by the famous Paul Mas Family who have been making wines since the 1800s, La Forge Estate wines symbolize the fusion of the old and the new worlds of wine. It focuses on making varietal wines with traditional winemaking philosophies in the wine world.
