Lucy M Chardonnay 2019


From the ‘Cemetery Block’ at the base of the Piccadilly Valley in alluvial black sandy soil, run by Jenny and James Griggs (6th generation farmers). The fruit is whole bunch pressed, fermented in 15 year old 500L barrels and aged on lees. As always, this produces an incredible textural chard from the lees and driving minerality from the soils. Ethereally light with salty oyster shell characters.
