Manoir de Gay 2014

Manoir de Gay comes from 12-year-old Merlot vines from Le Gay. It has a fresh and vibrant, violet-scented bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, gentle grip in the mouth, just a touch of spice here, but good structured towards the finish – a hint of truffle on the aftertaste. This is a commendable deuxičme vin.

Benefitting from the unique clay and gravel soil of the Pomerol appellation, the 10.5 hectare estate of Château Le Gay produces opulent full-bodied but refined reds. Their vines, 90% of which are Merlot supplemented by 10% of Cabernet Franc, are cultivated in a sustainable manner by Michel Rolland and his team.
