Certified in both Organic Viticulture and Biodynamic, the Urlar winery is located in the North Island of New Zealand, part of the Wairarapa. It is owned by Japanese winemaker Mr Yoichiro Nishi, who studied in Tokyo University of Agriculture. The winery is managed by Kohei Koyama, who has graduated with distinction in Viticulture and Oenology and has experience working in Russian River Valley in California as well as Muddy Water winery in New Zealand, before taking the helm at Urlar.
