Wolfburn Morven Single Malt Whisky

$120.00

Wolfburn Morven is a lightly peated whisky is made from malted barley infused with smoke during the drying process. The flavour imparted by the smoke is a reflection of Wolfburn’s history – the original 19th Century distillery was largely fired by peat. Gentle distillation is followed by maturation in our purpose-build warehouses. The result is a smooth and rounded whisky.

NOSE: Initially smoky with hints of fruit and fresh sea air, accompanied by vanilla and oak wood shavings.

PALATE: Floral notes abound, followed by raisins and light spices. Malty flavours open up on the palate, with soft honey sweetness at the finish.

Distillery Profile:
The most northerly whisky distillery on the Scottish mainland, originally founded in 1821. Today it has been re-awakened by master distiller Shane Fraser and is once again making exceptional single malt scotch whisky in the traditional way: by hand, using only the finest ingredients, and without haste. This new small-batch release has been matured in tiny 100-litre first-fill bourbon casks. Made from high quality American oak, these casks impart a depth of flavour to the spirit inside.
