Wolfburn Northland Single Malt Whisky

$120.00

?The smooth and warming flavours present in Wolfburn Northland whosky come from the unhurried way in which the spirit is made, and from the maturation, which takes place in American oak quarter casks. Matured and bottled on-site, Northland represents the first chapter in the history of Wolfburn.

NOSE: Initially sweet with notes of fruit and fresh sea air. In the background, you’ll find citrus freshness and hints of cereal and just a trace of peat smoke.

PALATE: Sweet, nutty tones come to the fore, with hints of grapes and honey in the background. Floral flavours abound, enhanced with just a hint of dried fruit and spice.

Distillery Profile:
The most northerly whisky distillery on the Scottish mainland, originally founded in 1821. Today it has been re-awakened by master distiller Shane Fraser and is once again making exceptional single malt scotch whisky in the traditional way: by hand, using only the finest ingredients, and without haste. This new small-batch release has been matured in tiny 100-litre first-fill bourbon casks. Made from high quality American oak, these casks impart a depth of flavour to the spirit inside.
