BARONE RICASOLI CASTELLO DI BROLIO CHIANTI CLASSICO 2013

Deep ruby red colour. The nose, unmistakeable but elegant, expresses the complexity of floral aromas and ripe red fruit, liquorice, vanilla and chocolate.
The palate is full and rich with soft, velvety tannins.  The after-smell is generously persistent. The most authentic expression of the terroir of "Brolio".

91pts - Antonio Galloni: What a special blend 80% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. The wine spent 18 months in oak, perfect balance between wood and fruit, complex aromas of cherries and plums, with notes of cedar and tobacco and a spice touch. On palate is fruity with round tannins and flavors of plums and almonds, with some cedar. Finished smooth and persistent.

88pts - Wine Enthusiast: This internationally-styled expression relies heavily on oak. It shows raw and toasted oak sensations of vanilla, roasted coffee bean and chocolate alongside the plum-fruit core. It finishes quickly with drying wood tannins.
