It’s difficult to sum this single malt up in a sentence. Although the 10 Year Old Ben Nevis is aimed at connoisseurs, only a rare few can resist its uncompromising style.
Simultaneously dry, robust and full-bodied, this is a true Highlander. Bottled in small quantities, it is mainly reserved for the Japanese market. Its owner is NIKKA, the famous Japanese whisky brand.
This version is one of the rare few to be bottled officially by the Ben Nevis distillery near Fort William.
TASTING NOTE Appearance : Amber with flashes of gold. Nose : Full-flavoured, it is characterised by the mellowness of malted barley. It develops notes of ripe fruit (plum) and tangy sweets. Palate : Powerful and smooth, it confirms the nose. It gradually reveals a herbaceous and spicy (clove) character. Overall : Wonderfully long on the palate, it emerges dry. It develops salty (iodised) notes.
