Wine Region: San Antonio Valley, Chile
Grape: Sauvignon Blanc
The wine pours out the glass, with in the nose fresh notes of lychee, green apple, citrus fruit, boxwood, cut grass and some white pepper. The taste is beautifully intense, beautifully slender, with a delicious fresh setting, floral, spicy and with a slightly exotic, long aftertaste.
About the Winery
The aim at Casa Marin from the outset was to produce world class wines that put Chile on the map for its cool climate possibilities. It all began in 2000 when founder, winemaker and owner Maria Luz Marin set out on this ambitious project. Setting up in the small town of Lo Abarca, just 4 km from the Pacific Ocean, in a region marked by cool, cloudy days, this is an area of pure beauty with steep rolling hills and wonderful limestone soils.
