CHATEAU LA NERTHE CLOS DU BEAUVENIR 2012/2013

Wine Region: Rhone Valley, France

Grape: Roussanne, Clairette

Tasting Notes

This vintage reveals a pretty dress of a golden yellow hue with green shades. The nose of Clos de Beauvoir 2012 is intense, spicy with notes of rice powder, vanilla and ripe pear. On the palate, it develops a nice freshness and a lot of roundness. There are vanilla fruit tones and a long and complex finish that adds to the aromatic notes of the aging where fruity scents and roasting intertwine.

About the Winery

Here is one of the 3 largest properties of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation with its 92 hectares of vines. Very old vineyard, the first archives of Château la Nerthe date back to the 16th century when the estate was named the Ferme du Beauvenir. His name today echoes one of the members of the family who bought it in the 16th century and who was none other than a prior living on the Nerthe Massif.
