Wine Region: Rhone Valley, France

Grape: Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne

Tasting Notes

The colour is pale yellow with grey-green reflection. The nose is intense and expressive. Viognier dominates with its white flower notes (acacia, honeysuckle) and exotic fruits (mango). A few notes of white and vine peaches make the bouquet more complex. The palate is fresh and long. No heaviness but great structure and length, with a classy crystal finish.

About the Winery

Here is one of the 3 largest properties of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation with its 92 hectares of vines. Very old vineyard, the first archives of Château la Nerthe date back to the 16th century when the estate was named the Ferme du Beauvenir. His name today echoes one of the members of the family who bought it in the 16th century and who was none other than a prior living on the Nerthe Massif.
