Wine Region: Spain
Grape: Pinot Noir
Gran Reserva Pinot Noir has a yeasty, bready nose with touches of dried honey. The palate is fresh and lively with subtle peach and orange sorbet notes that lead to a crisp, focused and again, very pretty finish.Â
About the Winery
We were the first to elaborate cava with grapes from the Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Pallerada varieties. CodornÃu has the oldest vineyards of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay for the elaboration of the cava with strains of more than 30 years. This makes us the experts in the cultivation and vinification of these varieties. In addition, we were the first to elaborate with international varieties: in 1984 the first cava with Chardonnay, in 2001 the first pink cava made with Pinor Noir and in 2008 the first Blanc de Noirs, using Pinot Noir.
