Tasting Notes

Continuing the hallmark style of Malbec from Remolinos Vineyard, this wine shows intense violet aromatics, bright freshness and acidity which has come to define Decero Malbec. The 2015 Malbec being one of our lighter Malbec wines of recent years which is in harmony with its supple tannins gently integrated over 14 months in French oak barrels.

Ratings

Wine Spectator 91 pts - An elegant style, with a core of vibrant cherry, plum and currant flavors that are supported by fresh acidity. This is supple midpalate, with a finish that lingers with dried ginger and white pepper details. Drink now through 2022.
James Suckling 92 pts - Quite a lot of dried fruit on the nose with spice and mahogany aromas. Medium body, juicy fruit and a flavorful finish. Fruity and fun.
About the Winery
Finca Decero, once a bare patch of soil in the Argentine foothills of the Andes, is now our one-of-a-kind vineyard, where each vine is nurtured by hand and our winemaking is without compromise. Having started ‘from scratch’, as Decero means, we have adopted a sustainable and sensitive approach, only in this way can the unique natural attributes of our Remolinos Vineyard shine through in each of our single vineyard wines.
