Grapes: Sangiovese, Merlot
Quintessential Tuscany: a gentle whirl of the ripest red fruits, violets and cherries. A vivacious ruby red, the tannins are youthful but harmonious and rounded. It ferments on natural lees in steel vats for about two weeks. Following natural malolactic fermentation in the same vats, the wine ages in large barrels for another 12 months. It is bottle aged for a further 3 months prior to release. The result? A complex, elegant wine, with a long finish, easily paired with food.
