The 1999 is a classic Tokaj vintage that evokes the great 1993 vintage. The hot and dry summer brought early and even ripening. A fine Botrytis developed slowly and gently on berries that dried and shrivelled completely with aromas reminiscent of desiccated fruits. These extremely pure aszú berries had intense flavours and retained their zesty acidity. Wonderful to work with too, they have gifted us vibrant wines with an exceptional ageing potential. A true explosion of fruit, minerality and richness of aromas. The last vintage of the 90s and a milestone to the memory of the great wines of Disznókő
