"The vitality and energy of this wine are dazzling—impressive complexity, flowers, blackcurrants, raspberries, and peaches. Full-bodied, though refined and polished with flawless texture and splendor. Delightful length. This great red is a tribute to balance, harmony, and finesse." - James Suckling 100 Points (2018)
"Fantastic aromas of blackcurrants and other dark fruit with crushed stone, iron and oysters, following through to a full body that shows incredible energy and depth, offering ripe yet fresh fruit, together with bright herbs and earth. About the Winery
The history of Chilean wine dates to the arrival of the Spanish in the 16th century, but the industry underwent a French revolution of sorts in the 19th century with the arrival of new grape varieties and vinification techniques.
Mr. Melchor Concha y Toro was at the vanguard of that movement and brought noble French varieties from Bordeaux. He planted those vines in the Maipo Valley in 1883 and laid the foundations of what is now
