Wine Region: California, USA
Grape: Sauvignon Blanc
Esser Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc is fresh, crisp and lively on the palate. Aromas of citrus and melon are paired with a subtle note of fresh cut grass. Initial flavors of lemon, lime and honeydew are followed by a crisp finish with good length.
About the Winery
Esser literally means "eater" in German. This could be the underlying reason why the Esser family chose to make wine to accompany food. On arrival to the U.S., not speaking a word of English, the two lived in Evanston, Illinois and remained there for 12 years before moving to the Napa Valley. Manfred became the president and partner of Cuvaison winery for 12 years before he moved on to consult world-wide for various companies. In 2002, Manfred finally decided to make his dream come true by creating his own wine with the intention to exceed ones expectations.
