Wine Region: Adelaide Hills, Australia
This Fiano is grown by Caj and Genny Amadio, on their visionary Kersbrook vineyard, in the warmer northern Adelaide Hills. It is a great site for the southern Italian varieties where the warm and dry days are tempered by the cooler nights. Regardless of the vintage conditions Fiano keeps a wickedly varietal character of chalky minerality, coupled with a lemon pith/bitter almond grip on the finish, making a tantalizingly textured palate and savoury finish.
About the Winery
The popularity of Sam Scott’s La Prova label is the result of a combination of innovation, awareness, site-selection, authenticity and value. These are Sam’s site and varietal trials, where he applies some modern and original methodology to what he’s learnt of how these Italian varieties are made at their origins.
