Wine Region: San Antonio Valley, Chile
The scent is complex and intense with notes of black currants, blackberries, red flowers, laurel, a little pepper and a slight vanilla note coming from the oak. The taste is beautifully intense and full, with ripe, fresh tannins, again plenty of dark (forest) fruit and has a long, lively aftertaste.
About the Winery
The aim at Casa Marin from the outset was to produce world class wines that put Chile on the map for its cool climate possibilities. It all began in 2000 when founder, winemaker and owner Maria Luz Marin set out on this ambitious project. Setting up in the small town of Lo Abarca, just 4 km from the Pacific Ocean, in a region marked by cool, cloudy days, this is an area of pure beauty with steep rolling hills and wonderful limestone soils.
