Wine Region: Margaret River, Australia
Grape: Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc
A lifted and vibrant blend with exotic tropical and passionfruit aromas and nuances of fresh sugar snap peas. Underlying mineral notes of wet slate and ocean mist combine with subtle sweet spice to further entice. A lively palate full of lychees and fresh pineapple gives way to delicate citrus blossom and mineral layers. Some texture and sweetness from a small portion fermented in barrel tempered by crisp citrus acidity makes for a bright and lingering finish.
James Halliday 95 pts - A very complex wine, both in terms of the layered flavours and the texture. A giveaway price for what is a high quality wine - which has pushed the envelope hard, but stopped before tearing it.
About the Winery
The first vineyards in Margaret River were planted in the undulating landscape created by the water courses of the ridge that connects Cape Leeuwin in the south and Cape Naturaliste in the north.
