Wine Region: McLaren Vale, Australia
Red berry tending to cherry, toast and very slight herbal and meaty notes. More of the same on the palate with cream as well though the herbaceous elements are more to the fore here. the tannins are extremely silky but there is a tiny touch of sourness on the end of the finish
95/100- James Halliday
About the winery
Termed a "virtual winery" Julian Forewood and Bernice Ong seek out the very best grapes from different regions of Australia in order to make refined wines that are pure and expressive. The name symbolises the relinquishing of their past security and structure (Ministry), for the freedom, independence and adventure (Clouds) inherent in their own venture. As James Halliday writes: Trying to pick highlights is futile, simply because there are so many of them, and so few words available. No surprise they are one of James' best new wineries for 2015.
