Pale straw in colour with a touch of green. Aromas of subtle lime and mineral. An elegant Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with vibrant acidity supporting flavours of gooseberry and passionfruit.
After a spring with few frost events, reasonable spring rain ensured healthy canopies. The new year brought sunny, warn conditions with no rain for almost two months. Once picking started we were blessed with good conditions meaning the fruit could be picked at optimal ripeness.
Marlborough Sauvignon blanc sourced from the Wairau Valley. Harvested early April. Fermented in stainless steel with aromatic yeasts, within a temperature range of 12 to 16 degrees celsius. Three months maturation on fermentation lees with blending in August 2019.
