Tasting note: A sparkling wine marked by the typicity of its place of origin, the Vinya del Llac, a vineyard over 40 years’ old, which allows for a structured, fresh and complex sparkling wine.
Awards: Wine Spectator 90 ~Sleek and finely knit, with flavors of crunchy green pear, salted almond and dried with cherry.
The estate consists of 44 parcels (managed separately) representing about 300 hectares of vines planted mainly with native varieties such as Macabeu, Xarel-lo and Parellada. The soils, the deep Galera, consist of different layers of marine fossil sediments embedded in clay and silt with a limestone base. The climate is typically Mediterranean with mild winters and hot and dry summers, whose temperature fluctuations are tempered by the proximity of the sea. The annual production is about 800,000 bottles. The vine is cultivated biodynamically.
