Wine Region: Cotes du Roussillon, France
Grapes:Â Grenache Gris, Maccabeu
Peony, narcissus and fresh lime scent the Roc des Anges 2011 Cotes du Roussillon Llum, along with intimations of what on the palate performs like a juicy, lime-drenched and tinglingly invigorating salad of cucumber and radish. There is remarkable lushness of texture here considering the animation and brightness also conveyed, and the musky, alluring floral perfume keeps pace in a prolonged finish with the dynamic interaction between crisp-edged fruit and stony, crystalline mineral matter.
