Ripe blueberry, spices, evocations of sage and thyme and stone. This wine brims with juicy, very ripe red berry accented by smoky, stony characteristics usually associated with schist-influenced reds. While glycerol-rich and almost lush in texture, this preserves fine vivacity and downright refreshment. In the palate-staining finish, a tart, fruit skin edge enhances the sense of invigoration while salinity serves for saliva inducement.
About the Winery
Vineyard located on the Pyrenean foothills mainly on the slopes of Montner, a village set in an amphitheater facing north. Soils of shallow schists with a surface horizon made up of sands: poor soils, filters, minerals. Catalan grapes dominant. Old vines (50 to 110 years old) rub shoulders with young vines in mass selections. 35 hectares. Average natural yield 20 hl / ha. Vineyard grown in Biodynamie since 2011 (member of Biodyvin - certified organic by Bureau Veritas). Vinification in indigenous yeasts, simple, precise and natural work based on respect for the wine's breathing.
