Get bubbly for your Christmas and  New Year’s Day party for that envy-worthy champagne popping IG story or Tiktok. We’ve curated three bottles that work for not just the perfect social post but also to pair for dinner or casual cheese boards. All sparkling wines mentioned are discounted now in our Pop, Fizz, Clink promo, ending 31 December.

1. Col Vetoraz DOCG Brut Prosecco 2021

If you are looking for a distinguished white sparkling in the panorama of Prosecco of Valdobbiadene, you have to taste this Prosecco Brut of Col Vetoraz. Produced in hillside vineyards with west exposure, this wine is loaded with perfumed peaches, crisp green apples and sweet spices, with a fine and aromatic bouquet, dry and intense. Great for dinner parties, the perfect aperitif can be matched with shellfish and precious fish.

2. Champagne Deutz Brut Classic NV

This is the one to purchase if you’re looking for the classic popping champagne shot for your socials. The most eclectic of the range, Deutz Brut Classic draws its perfect harmony from the three Champagne grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, which gives it its perfect balance. The golden color reveals a graceful ballet of bubbles of great finesse. Very expressive, the cuvée reveals sweet floral notes supported by aromas of toast, marzipan and ripe fruit. Its silky texture bears witness to a fine balance between the freshness of Chardonnay, the fruitiness of Pinot Noir and the touch of vinosity of Pinot Meunier.

3. Raventos de Nit 2020

Everybody loves rosé so you definitely won’t go wrong serving this at festive celebrations! An intriguing rosé that conceals the soul of a white wine in its purity and transparence. Made up of the traditional Cava varieties with a touch of Monastrell, the Raventos de Nit 2020 is a wonderful selection for special occasions with delicate sandwiches, sliced ham, and young cheeses.

FESTIVE SEASON’S MAIN EVENT: BORDEAUX WINES FOR DINNER PARTIES

You can’t go wrong with red wine at dinner parties, whether you’re hosting one or heading out for a celebration. In particular, Bordeaux wines are so often the instinctive first choice for the festive season’s main event. If you haven’t gotten your bottles yet, no worry we got you. We have three bottles at different price points and what’s more, take 20% off when you purchase 3 bottles or more in-store at our 9 different outlets islandwide from now till the end of the month.

1. F. Thienpont Bordeaux Rouge 2016
The F.Thienpont Bordeaux is a deep garnet red wine in colour with a fine intensity. With a beautiful perfumed bouquet of red fruits, delicate spicy notes bring additional charm. At an affordable price of $39, this wine is full and aromatic on the palate, with a well balanced structure and silky tannins. The long finish combines fruit intensity and freshness that’s perfect for a casual celebration with friends and family.

2. Angélique de Monbousquet Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2018

Awarded 92 points by James Suckling, the Grand Cru offers aromas of ripe berry and dark chocolate with some coffee bean, following through to a full body with round, creamy tannins. Stone and walnut undertones and a slightly woody finish. A mid-range red ($74), this bottle is great for dinner parties and pairs beautifully with steak and stews.

3. Château Dauzac 2016

At $125, the Chateau Dauz 2016 is the wine to open at parties if you’re looking to impress. The 2016 vintage is extremely rich and precise without being excessive, revealing bright fruit and a dense and complex raw material. The bouquet is tightly wound at first, then gently unfolds to reveal blackberry, briary, pressed flowers and light minty aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin on the entry, quite firm in the mouth at first, but there is plenty of fresh, predominantly black fruit locked into this Margaux. The high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend gives it an exceptional acidity/alcohol balance that is an indication of a great vintage.
