Matthieu Barret
A seventh-generation vigneron, has been transforming Cornas since 1998 through his Domaine du Coulet. Embracing organic and biodynamic viticulture, he replaced machinery with horses and manual labor to foster biodiversity. In the cellar, Barret utilizes concrete and ceramic vessels, eliminating oak to preserve the pure expression of Syrah. His wines, such as “Brise Cailloux” and “Petit Ours,” are celebrated for their freshness, elegance, and authentic reflection of the Rhône terroir.
